Being a part of one of the most polluting industries in the world, makes us wonder how we can improve our practises. Our values led us to adopt internationally recognised standards to assure the making of our garments will actively reduce the ecological footprint of our activity. Not yet satisfied, we are working to be carbon neutral factory in ten years, producing clean energy, reducing our waste and reforesting areas nearby.

History

Baptista e Soares is a family-owned business with 40 years of experience in fashion apparel industry.

Founded in April 1st, 1981, by Manoel Baptista and his wife, Maria de Lourdes Torquato Soares, in Taíde, Póvoa de Lanhoso, it has gradually expanded from a modest regional business into an international manufacturing company.

We are experts in design and manufacturing of branded garments. Based in northern Portugal, Baptista e Soares has established in the market due to a high quality standards, value and innovation. We continually challenge ourselves to grow as we pursue to improve quality and make a difference.

One of the central strategies in line with our business approach is to have our own development and research department.

Approach - Production

A team of highly skilled pattern makers and cutters closely supports our designers. All garments are subjected to fit and finishing practices.

Throughout garment manufacturing we manage production from prototyping to shipment, ensuring that your product achieves a superior assembly, quality and consistency. All raw materials are purchased and controlled by our company. Our subcontractors are also audited.

Our dedicated logistics team manages every process to ensure orders are processed accordingly and that garments are delivered on time and with high quality.
